Position Summary
The Psychotherapist is a core clinical provider within EFMNY’s Westchester satellite clinic, delivering evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals with epilepsy, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD/DD), and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
This role operates within a collaborative model alongside Community Living Corporation (CLC), supporting individuals in IRA settings. The position utilizes a hybrid service model, providing virtual services (Article 31) and in-person care (Article 16) to ensure continuity, access, and coordinated care.

Clinical Services
- Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based practices
- Conduct intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planning
- Maintain caseload, ensuring engagement, follow-up, and continuity of care
- Ensure documentation supports medical necessity, billing, and compliance
- Co-Facilitate clinical groups (e.g., anger management, coping skills, social skills, psychoeducation)
- Provide training to staff on:
- PHQ-9 administration and interpretation
- Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS)
- Best practices for biopsychosocial assessments
- Support consistent use of screening tools and clinical documentation standards
- Serve as a resource for assessment, risk identification, and intake processes
- Maintain a target caseload aligned with full-time productivity expectations, generally ranging between approximately 30–40 active clients, depending on service mix, scheduling needs, and program demands
- Support clinic growth through referral follow-up and intake engagement
- Re-engage inactive clients and promote retention
- Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure timely service initiation
- Coordinate with residential (IRA) and day habilitation teams
- Provide oversight during transitional periods (post-day habilitation) as needed
- Collaborate with housing managers to support treatment adherence and attendance
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to Life Plans
- Support integration of clinical services within broader care coordination
- Complete all documentation in TenEleven (10e11) EHR
- Maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready records
- Adhere to OMH, OPWDD, DOH, and EFMNY standards
